Becoming more like a tradition in the Domestic Worker Empowerment Project (DWEP), another soap cycling project is conducted by the third batch of members and HKU students at K.K. Leung Concourse, HKU, September 24, 2017.

Soap cycling is a regular activity in the line-up of events in the DWEP program, conducted in collaboration with David Bishop and Pat Davis of the HKU Faculty of Business and Economics.

Unused soap from hotels in Hong Kong amounting to 1500 kilos were recycled to be sent to underprivileged places in the Philippines, Indonesia, and elsewhere in Asia. Through the activity, domestic workers are not only empowered to help other people in need, but encourages them to be champions of environmental advocacies as well. /nguinto
